Dear Affiliates and NARR Allies,

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is being consolidated into the new Administration for a Healthy America (AHA), and we need all hands on deck to rally for continued prioritization of recovery services in this new landscape.

Below is a message you can share with your state government, federal representatives, stakeholders, and your community at large. Mobilize as much advocacy as possible in the next 24 hours to ensure vital recovery resources and support are not lost.

Dear Government Officials, Stakeholders, and Community Members,

Investing in recovery and recovery support services is a proven economic and public health strategy that benefits us all. Every dollar spent on recovery saves taxpayers $4–$7 in healthcare, criminal justice, and lost productivity costs.

It strengthens families, reduces healthcare strain, and builds a healthier, more engaged workforce.

Access to community-based self-help, recovery housing, and other social-model recovery services lowers rates of disruptions in recovery lifespan, boosts productivity, and empowers individuals to rebuild their lives.

Dedicated government support for recovery services isn’t just compassionate—it’s a smart policy that drives economic growth and creates thriving communities.

Invest in recovery—it pays dividends.
